The Beginning

All Elisabetta Studio products are designed and made by Anya Byam. From best-selling cork bracelets to unique cork leather purses, all pieces are handcrafted in Vermont using eco-friendly materials. Anya has been inspired to create her whole life and continues to find joy in bringing new designs to her store.  

Maker & Artist

“I first sat down at a sewing machine at age five, secretly mimicking projects my mother had completed.  I was immediately captivated.  The process of transforming fabric and thread into something completely new has been my creative passion ever since.  The art of sewing, quilting, and creating is almost meditative for me.  I find focus, clarity, and calm.”

The purses, bags, and clutches are original, unique designs and not made using any commercial patterns. Instead, Elisabetta Studio designs are created as custom products that are inspired by other bags or other accessories that complement the current product line. Anya is constantly creating new ideas, trying and tweaking her patterns, and routinely shares them on social media.

“More recently I discovered cork fabric.  It is a great eco-friendly material and I love working with it.  I immediately started incorporating cork leather into my bags. The cork jewelry, purses, and clutches are nice options for consumers who are looking for a fashionable yet environmentally minded and ethical leather product.”
